About Us

SAMUN is a Model United Nations conference in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We aim to simulate the United Nations to educate students about current and past global events, international relations, and diplomacy. We aim to give students aged between 12 and 25 the opportunity to gain skills in writing, debating, and public speaking.

What is the United Nations?

The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization tasked to promote and secure international co-operation and to create and maintain international order.

What is MUN?

MUN (Model United Nations) is an educational simulation aimed to give the youth aged 12-25 the experience of being a diplomat. MUN teaches the participants public speaking, writing, leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, and debating skills. Participants in MUN conferences, known as delegates, are placed in committees and assigned countries to represent. They are presented with their assignments in advance, along with a topic that their committee will discuss.

What does delegate mean?

A delegate is a person that represents a country or an organization in the conference. Any regular attendee should sign up as a delegate.
